Primary Responsibility:
The Product Specialist Mutual Funds will be responsible for providing in-depth knowledge, support, and expertise related to the company's mutual fund offerings. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and client-facing teams to enhance the visibility and positioning of mutual fund products in the marketplace.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on the company's mutual fund offerings, including fund performance, investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk/return characteristics.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, new fund launches, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings to provide insights and recommendations for the company's product strategy.
- Assist in the creation of product positioning, key messaging, and marketing materials that highlight the value proposition of mutual funds to both institutional and retail clients.
- Support the sales and distribution teams by providing them with detailed product knowledge, competitor insights, and investment strategies to help them effectively sell the company's mutual funds.
- Conduct product training sessions for sales teams, financial advisors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure they are equipped to communicate product benefits and features.
- Assist in the preparation of sales collateral, presentations, pitch books, and proposals for potential clients.
- Respond to client and advisor inquiries related to mutual fund products, providing detailed information and product updates.
- Collaborate with product management, research, and portfolio management teams to help develop new mutual fund products or refine existing offerings based on market demand, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
- Support the product development lifecycle, including market research, concept development, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
- Provide input into product pricing, fund structure, and distribution strategy to ensure products are aligned with investor needs and expectations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of mutual funds, preparing regular performance reviews and ensuring that the funds align with the company's investment objectives and clients needs.
- Provide periodic updates to sales and marketing teams on fund performance, key metrics, and performance against competitors.
- Analyze client feedback, sales data, and market trends to recommend improvements or adjustments to the product suite.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key institutional clients, advisors, and distributors to promote mutual fund products.
- Collaborate with client service teams to resolve any product-related issues or client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in organizing and delivering client presentations, webinars, and seminars focused on mutual fund products, investment strategies, and market outlook.
- Ensure mutual fund products comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure that all marketing materials, sales documentation, and client communications are in line with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ongoing research on competitor mutual fund products, industry trends, and market dynamics to help refine product offerings and improve market positioning
- Provide regular reports on competitor activity, new trends, and best practices in mutual fund management.
