To drive product innovation, develop policies, and support the structuring of facilities to assist the sales and coverage team in expanding the Trade franchise in India.
Key Accountabilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute the rollout of new product variants, services, and enhancements in the Bank's Trade Finance offerings.
- Understand the operating model, processes, and market landscape for Distributor Finance (DF).
- Collaborate with Sales/CM to identify opportunities in traditional and structured solutions and provide end-to-end solutions.
- Identify opportunities within industry segments and develop specific product propositions.
- Monitor and be accountable for achieving product revenue targets.
- Prepare and finalize legal documents for transaction-specific and generic structured trade solutions.
- Provide guidance on policy/procedure, regulatory compliance, and operations/system-related issues to strengthen risk management.
- Develop, maintain, and disseminate suitable business analytics.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the development of the Trade product portfolio in line with Group guidelines and budgets.
- Conceptualize and enhance new products and services to grow existing revenue streams.
- Innovate and structure customized solutions to meet specific customer requirements and improve transaction yields.
- Identify industry segments with specific needs and create value propositions to target these opportunities.
- Identify cross-border opportunities within and outside the Group and develop means to capture these flows.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews of new rollouts and initiate necessary actions.
- Maintain close liaison and seek assistance from Head Office GTS product, sales, and operations teams for product development, end-to-end structuring, and creating efficient cross-border processes.
- Collaborate with operations and sales to build and maintain an effective customer service model that differentiates the bank.
- Identify system and process gaps and partner with trade operations to close them.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance to IBG and Trade sales.
- Build and maintain suitable MIS.
Required Experience
- 7-12 years of post-qualification work experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to understand and structure documentation.
- Experience in direct customer and internal stakeholder communication.
- Understanding of distributor finance and vendor/supplier finance.
- Preferred experience in handling or understanding trade transactions.
Education/Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate with over 7 years of banking experience.
- Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Technical Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of trade products, including features, capabilities, legal compliance, and tax issues.
- Good understanding of front and back-office processes and their interface with client needs.
- Knowledge of cross-border trade needs, customer requirements, expectations, and marketplace trends/drivers.
- Familiarity with RBI regulations governing banks Trade products and the general regulatory environment in India.
- Sound knowledge of local and international trade regulations, guidelines, and best practices governing Trade Finance.
Work Relationships
- Collaborate closely with Institutional Banking/GTS RMs, Network Trade advisors, and Operations team.
