About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in energy markets, congestion analysis , and transmission planning. This role will be critical in shaping the strategic product roadmap and driving the development of innovative solutions that optimize energy market operations and address the unique challenges of energy transmission and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Define, develop, and communicate the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs, customer expectations, and business objectives.
- Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in energy markets to guide product innovation.
- Prioritize product features based on customer value, impact on the market, and alignment with business goals.
Energy Markets & Modelling Expertise
- Lead product development with a strong focus on energy market modeling, nodal analysis, congestion analysis, and forecasting methodologies.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to refine models that address locational marginal pricing, transmission congestion, and other energy market dynamics.
- Develop models and frameworks for energy dispatch, bidding, and price forecasting.
Transmission Planning, Nodal Analysis & Congestion Management
- Deep understanding of the USA Nodal Collaborate with the engineering team to design solutions for transmission planning, grid stability, and congestion management.
- Drive initiatives to model and analyse network constraints and congestion patterns, ensuring reliable and efficient energy delivery.
- Engage with regulatory and policy stakeholders to ensure product compliance with transmission and congestion management standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, operations, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution of the product strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Nodal markets and congestion analysis, providing insights to customers and internal teams.
- Drive the communication strategy for product releases, roadmaps, and updates with key stakeholders and clients.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track product metrics to assess performance, user engagement, and ROI, making data-driven decisions to improve the product.
- Implement user feedback loops to continuously enhance product features and optimize user experience.
- Ensure quality control throughout the product lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Masters / PHD in Power Systems is preferred. Exposure to USA Electricity Market.
- Experience with Network Modelling tools like PSSE.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management within the energy sector, with a proven track record of roadmap ownership and product delivery.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in energy modeling, nodal and congestion analysis, and transmission planning. Knowledge of regulatory policies and market operations in energy trading.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in quantitative analysis, data-driven decision-making, and modeling tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership Qualities: Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards shared objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with energy market modeling software and grid simulation tools.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and policies affecting energy markets.
- Exposure to power transmission system design and grid management practices.
