- MMP Modernization:
- As part of Ford s Industrial Transformation, this program modernizes Ford s Material Management Planning & Inventory Management process, and replaces a 1980 s era green-screen system (CMMS3) with prioritized deployment across core vehicle operations and powertrain plants.
- The Position
- The Quality Assurance lead will partner with stakeholders, business & IT SMEs, PDO teams, and vendor-partners oversee all aspects of software testing within the organization. This includes managing the testing team, developing end to end testing , performance and scalability testing strategies, and ensuring that all software products meet quality standards before release of MMP System.
- Previous testing experience, operating at a senior level, on multiple or large scale programs and incorporating all levels of the testing life-cycle.
- Experience with various aspects of software testing and quality assurance, including good knowledge of statistical QC techniques.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead complex QA initiatives from conception to successful implementation.
- Hands-on problem solver to anticipate and proactive resolve hurdles before they become issues
- Proficiency writing and maintaining automation code, libraries, and frameworks in Python Java and JavaScript
- Experience orchestrating the testing of complex distributed systems, including proprietary product platforms, SaaS applications and enterprise systems like SAP, Data Hub and GCP.
- Capability to troubleshoot software issues in order to identify the source, whether it be in the test or application code, or a specific component
- Proficiency with testing tools and software (e. g. , Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Tosca, ALM, Load Runner, GITHUB, Tekton, Jenkins).
- Experience in advanced Agile technologies like TDD/BDD/ATDD /CI-CD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Development).
- Define testing objectives, scope, resources, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Review and approve the detailed end to end test cases and test scripts, following established testing procedures and test schedules based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee the execution of end to end testing activities, including manual and automated testing activities to ensure all components of the system work together seamlessly.
- Orchestrate development and execution of strategies for performance testing to ensure the software meets performance benchmarks.
- Identify opportunities and drive test automation and contribute to the development of automated test scripts.
- Assist in defining and setting up our testing environments and test data management for consistent environments across ecosystem and deployment phases.
- Oversee the data migration process and testing at each stage of the data cutover to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
- Collaborate in creating a rehearsal plan and execute the production rehearsal according to the plan.
- Ensure that test cases are thoroughly documented, executed, and reported.
Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and test results to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.
- Participate in project planning and review meetings to provide input on testing timelines and resource requirements.
Participate in the validation of release candidates to confirm that they are ready for deployment to production.
