We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to drive the development, launch, and lifecycle management of FMCG products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of products, conducting market research, working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and R&D teams, and ensuring the successful positioning and performance of products in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute product strategies for the assigned FMCG product categories, aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, consumer needs, and potential product opportunities.
- Define product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of product launches.
- Product Development & Innovation:
- Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and production teams to ensure new products meet quality standards, consumer preferences, and cost targets.
- Drive product innovation by identifying gaps in the market and exploring new product concepts.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, including packaging, pricing, and distribution strategies.
- Market Research & Consumer Insights:
- Analyze consumer data, market trends, and sales performance to make informed product decisions.
- Conduct regular consumer feedback sessions to understand preferences, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Use insights to continuously optimize the product offering.
- Brand Management & Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop product positioning, branding, and go-to-market strategies.
- Coordinate with advertising, digital, and retail teams to create effective product campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor the success of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Sales & Distribution Support:
- Partner with the sales team to support product listings, promotions, and in-store execution.
- Provide training and product knowledge to sales teams and key accounts.
- Track sales performance and provide recommendations for product enhancements or adjustments in distribution strategies.
- Financial Management:
- Manage product pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
- Monitor product P&L, including cost control, margins, and SKU performance.
- Work with finance teams to forecast demand, budget for product launches, and manage inventory levels.
- Cross-functional Coordination:
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure product timelines, quality standards, and market readiness are met.
- Regularly communicate product updates, strategies, and market insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize sourcing, production, and distribution efficiencies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 2+ years of product management experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG market dynamics, consumer behavior, and product lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful product strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and sales performance.
- Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on delivering business growth through innovation and product optimization.
