Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Product Manager to drive the Demat and Trading business for our Retail Broking Division.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new retail accounts, generating brokerage and income streams such as MTF (Margin Trading Facility), interest income, and enhancing the retail trading experience across digital platforms.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product, Digital Marketing, and Fintech Integration, ensuring that the business stays competitive by delivering superior customer experiences and aligning with market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Growth:

Retail Account Opening: Develop and execute strategies to drive new Demat and trading account openings for retail clients. Ensure aggressive acquisition targets are met.

Revenue Generation: Monitor and grow revenue through brokerage, MTF, and interest income channels. Track performance against KPIs and take corrective actions as required.

Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities for retail client acquisition, market penetration, and cross-selling other financial services.

2. Product Development & Enhancement:

Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor offerings and market trends. Identify gaps in the current product offerings and share a detailed wishlist with the Product team to enhance features in our app, web, and other retail platforms.

Product Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Product team to ensure the integration of new features and updates. Track the development lifecycle and ensure timely rollouts across all digital platforms.

Customer Experience: Focus on improving the user experience for retail clients, ensuring that platforms are intuitive and meet market demands.

3. Digital Marketing & Lead Conversion:

Campaign Coordination: Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to design, execute, and monitor online initiatives that drive account openings and trading volumes.

Conversion Optimization: Continuously evaluate marketing campaigns and make data-driven recommendations to improve conversion rates for Demat account sign-ups and trading activity.

4. Fintech Integrations & Innovation:

Retail Algo Trading: Lead the integration of retail algorithmic trading solutions with the Product team. Ensure fintech integrations are seamlessly executed and aligned with client needs.

Fintech Partnerships: Drive strategic fintech collaborations that enhance retail broking services. Stay updated on fintech innovations and ensure the business remains competitive.

5. Offline Engagement & Events:

Lead Generation: Drive offline initiatives, including partnerships, networking events, seminars, and workshops, aimed at generating high-quality leads for Demat and trading accounts.

Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and relationship management teams to ensure a steady pipeline of leads and conversions from offline channels.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of the retail broking business, Demat accounts, trading, and related revenue streams like MTF and interest income.

Product Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing digital products, preferably in the financial services space. Ability to translate market insights into actionable product enhancements.

Data-Driven: Strong ability to analyze data, competitor strategies, and customer behavior. Use data to inform product development and marketing initiatives.

Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Technology. Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Customer-Centric: A deep focus on enhancing the customer journey, from account opening to the trading experience, ensuring superior service delivery.

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with fintech integrations, retail algo trading, and the latest technological trends in the financial services industry.

Marketing Know-how: Experience working with digital marketing teams to drive conversions through innovative campaigns. Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics and conversion funnels.

Event Management: Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute offline engagements and events for lead generation and brand visibility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

5-10 years of experience in retail broking, with a proven track record in product management, account acquisition, and revenue generation.

Strong understanding of the stock broking ecosystem, digital trading platforms, and fintech innovations.

Experience in managing both online and offline marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
