Job Description

  • Lead Product Development: Manage end-to-end product development for credit and underwriting products, including ideation, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, partners, and customers to gather requirements, define product roadmaps, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Journey Mapping: Create and optimize customer journeys for credit/underwriting processes, including rule-based decisioning and automation via BRE platforms.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze large sets of customer and business data to continuously improve credit assessment models, underwriting processes, and customer experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data science, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless product delivery and to align technical requirements with business objectives.
  • MVP & Iteration: Drive rapid prototyping and MVP development to test hypotheses and iterate on feedback from stakeholders and customers.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure that all products comply with relevant financial regulations and lending practices, mitigating risk while enhancing customer experience

The Successful Applicant

  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a Product Manager in fintech, with a strong focus on building credit or underwriting products.
  • 2+ years of experience in building credit/underwriting journeys, including experience with BRE systems, decisioning models, and automated rule engines.
  • Solid understanding of lending processes, risk management, credit scoring, and the regulatory landscape within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to manage product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business impact and customer needs.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience working with data science teams to optimize credit models and decision-making frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, data, legal, and business operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset and a bias for action
