The Product Expert for SAP Intelligent Spend and Business Network group will drive the strategic vision and innovation for our suite of solutions that empower organizations to manage their spending, procurement, travel, and workforce management more effectively. You will work with a team of product strategists and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align product offerings with market demands, technological advancements, and customer needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate spending solutions and be able to craft strategies that align SAP's products to meet evolving market needs and customer demands.

What you'll do

  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements. Identify new market opportunities, potential acquisitions and/or partnerships that can enhance our product offerings.
  • Build, Buy, Partner Decisions: Lead the evaluation process for determining whether to build in-house solutions, acquire third-party technology, or partner with other companies. Analyze the cost, speed, and strategic impact of each option, making recommendations that align with long-term business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders to align product strategies with business goals and drive product initiatives forward.
  • Innovation and Differentiation: Identify and champion opportunities for innovation within our product portfolio, ensuring we remain competitive and at the forefront of the industry.
  • Cross-Product Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of strategies that ensure alignment and synergy across our procurement, travel, and contingent workforce solutions, delivering a unified experience to customers.
  • Go-to-Market Alignment: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies that effectively communicate the value proposition of our integrated product suite. Ensure all product launches and updates are strategically positioned for maximum impact.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, or a related role within the technology or enterprise software industry.
  • Knowledge of the Spend Management Solution portfolio (Procurement, Contingent, Travel & Expense & Business Network)
  • Proven track record of leading product strategy for complex, integrated solutions, preferably within spend management, procurement, external workforce, travel & expense, or business networks.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their application in spend management and business networks.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with design thinking, innovation methodologies, and change management is a plus.
