Top Product Development Executive provides leadership, vision, and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Oversees research and concept development activities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign.
Responsibilities
Identify a problem and create a product to solve that problem by talking to customers, completing surveys and using market research
Determine if the problem is large enough to warrant a product-based solution and if the customers are willing to pay for this solution
Apply creativity and innovation to figure out whether the product could be the solution
Test whether the solution product is viable, worth pursuing and liked by the target users
Identify goals and themes for development and solve the most important challenges to legitimize the product concept
Create a minimum viable product (MVP), an initial version that has only enough function to meet its customer's purpose
Conduct experiments with the MVP to gauge interest, test price sensitivity, find marketing channels, create a message and develop packaging
Collect customer feedback to continue expansion and enhancements, keep growing the product roadmap and set new strategic goals for the product
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or MBA
Proven working experience as a product developer or in a related field
Good knowledge of Agile Methodology in software development lifecycle
Work well within a team
Creative and innovative thinking skills
Problem-solving skills
High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
