Designation: Product Development Executive for Manufacturing Company
About our Company
We manufacture and supply value added engineering products and services for the construction industry. Our products are Rebar Couplers, Sonic Tubes, Rebar's, Conical Wall ties.
- Product Research: Conduct primary and secondary research to analyses customer's needs, and potential areas for product improvement or innovation.
- Product Need: Defining product specifications, features and performance requirements based on market demands.
- Product design: Generating creative and innovative ideas and concepts for new products or product enhancements.
- Vendor Development: Conducting product research and competitor analysis to understand consumer preferences and market dynamics to improve product performance and capabilities to meet inputs.
- Prototype and Testing: Creating and designing prototypes and conducting testing to validate product designs and functionality as per the specification. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop engineering products which can be an extension to our existing product line.
- Client Trial: A trial runs to internally test developments to test a prototype of a product before the product goes into full-scale production.
- Product Improvement/ Enhancement:Continuously assess and enhance the performance, durability, and ease of use of existing products. Identify areas for improvement based on customer feedback and market research.
Monitoring product development timeline, budgets and quality standards.
Conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the viability and profitability of new products.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of product development processes, test results, and design changes. Prepare technical documentation, including product manuals and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support, product information, and training materials for customers. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage the product development budget, making sure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and materials in the construction industry. Explore opportunities for innovation in MS products for construction
-Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, market trends and competitive landscape, providing insights to inform product development decisions.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications, including design, features, materials and performance criteria.
-Create and manage project timeline, ensuring critical milestones are met throughout the product development life-cycle.
-Coordinate prototype development, testing and validation, collecting and analyzing data to inform product refinements.
-Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source components, materials and production processes that meet quality standards and cost targets.
-Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the product development process in India.
-Conduct product analysis, user testing and gather feedback to evaluate product usability, functionality and overall customer experience.
-Coordinate with marketing teams to develop product launch strategies, including pricing, positioning and promotional activities.
-Monitor post-launch product performance, gathering customer feedback and implementing improvements based on market insights.
-Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements in product development methodologies to enhance product offerings.
- Required skills and qualifications:
- Experience: Should have 5 to 10 yrs. of experience in product development or a similar role.
-B.E. Engineering or a related field.
-Proficiency in using - Auto-cad (Computer-Aided Design) software is Mandatory.
-Proficiency in using MS Office Suit (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
-Proficiency in product design software and tools.
-Knowledge of quality assurance, product testing and product optimization.
-Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and user-cent red design principles.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and make informed product decisions.
-Strong understanding of product development processes.
-Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, material testing and cost optimization techniques.
-Strong awareness of market with the ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
-A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
-Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
