WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the entire lifecycle of software development (concept, design, test, release, and post-release support)
- Develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs to support mobile and web applications.
- Design and implement efficient database structures, queries, and stored procedures to handle large volumes of data.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and UX designers to deliver well-architected, seamless products.
- Build basic frontend web or mobile interfaces that are responsive, smooth and highly usable
- Liaise with the product team to plan and develop new features for future products and releases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that is production-ready and well-tested.
- Explore new backend technologies and frameworks to enhance the development process and product performance.
- Use analytics tools and techniques to understand system performance and user behavior, and suggest improvements.
- Maintain and enhance the codebase of existing projects; Diagnose and fix bugs that may be reported from time to time
- Communicate actively with other team members on project details and other aspects.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- 4-6 years of experience in the software development sector (service/product)
- Demonstrated experience with backend development using languages like Javascript, Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience with database management systems (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
- Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js or any equivalent
- Experience with automated testing tools (like Jest, Mocha, or backend-focused testing frameworks).
- Experience working with standard development tools like IDEs, command-line tools, version control systems, etc.
- 1+ yrs of experience in AI/ML and related technologies
- Working knowledge on implementing LLM based operations - like RAG (Retrieval augmented generation), fine-tuning of existing models, self-hosting open weights models etc.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and deploying scalable backend services.
- Knowledge of deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms and monitoring their performance.
- An engineering degree in computer science, information science, or equivalent hands-on experience in programming.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to see a product to completion.
- Ability to work with uncertainty and the ability to rapidly adapt to changes.
- Excellent communication skills.
