The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:
Create component detail drawings and bills of materials for centrifugal compressors that include components such as bearings, seals, stationary and rotating components, as applicable to the specific product line.
Detail drawings/models utilizing correct and economical methods of manufacturing machined and fabricated parts. Ensure Form, Fit and Function logic is followed. Ensure mating parts are considered before releasing to production.
Utilize correct method of dimensioning in compliance with drafting standards.
Self-check for accuracy of all drawings, layouts and bills of material.
Check vendor drawings as required.
Assist factory inspector and Product Design Engineer in dispositions of non-conformances of parts.
Participate in Process Improvement.
Understand and incorporate basic specs, standards and design criteria provided.
Participate in development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of design tools, product improvements, and engineering standards associated with design, manufacturing, testing, and repair of turbomachinery products
Maintain accurate and organized engineering records.
Follow all processes and obtain necessary approvals where required.
Other miscellaneous duties to support the product lines success.
What You Bring
Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Possess and demonstrate a high degree of tact and professionalism; and be capable of interacting with Management, Peers, Shop Personnel, Inside Sales and SCM.
Good organizational and time management skills
Solid computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-Point) and basic 2D/3D CAD
Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice (estimated 0-10% travel)
