Overall Role- Innovate and design new products, taking concepts from ideation through to production.
Concept Development: Work with the director to brainstorm, sketch, and design new product ideas that align with company goals.
- Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes using CAD software and 3D printing, testing them to refine designs based on feedback.
Material and Component Selection
: Research and select appropriate materials and components for durability and cost-efficiency.Collaboration
: Work closely with the Mechatronic Engineer to integrate mechanical and electronic components.Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturing, focusing on cost reduction and ease of production.
- Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with prototyping and testing.
Background in industrial or mechanical design.
