Job Description Summary
This Product Definition Engineer job is for Heavey Duty New Unit piping team. The job requires working on NX (Unigraphics) for creating new 3D models or revising existing models, pipe routing, knowledge of piping components, creation or revision of new drawings and creation or revision of Bill of Materials. There are three essential skills required - 3D Modelling using NX (Unigraphics) or similar tool, knowledge of piping components and pipe routing, and working on day-to-day tasks in PLM or similar environment using Change Management process.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Executing PDE scope for Gas, Steam and Generator Accessories to deliver 3D piping designs and skids arrangement drawings, Bills of materials with immaculate quality and adhering to timelines
- Good knowledge of piping components, supports and welding.
- Ability to understand and interpret Schematics/P&ID
- Ensure all interface and interference characteristics between components are established and agreed upon by the designers of interfacing systems
- Proactively and effectively communicate progress, status, risk, needed inputs and target release dates to stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly scrum meetings with Engineering counter parts to plan for four-week look ahead and work with prioritization
- Follow Daily management rigor within the team to ensure timely delivery of tasks
- Apply Lean principles in daily management and strive for continuous improvement
- Ensure quality of PDE deliverables by following Peer check rigor
- Utilize applicable PLM system (Enovia) to manage and issue product definition data.
- Follow concurrent Engineering processes, understand input from the different engineering disciplines, monitor progress and quality, and ensure schedule requirements are met.
- Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal and external GE Vernova customers through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical PDE data.
- Provide design support to cross-functional teams to improve or resolve design, performance, manufacturing, supplier, or field issues..
- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
- Contribute in fulfilling organizational KPIs and Initiatives
- Demonstrated ability in managing several projects across functions (New Product Introduction, New Units, Services, Cost Out, etc.), ensuring On-time Delivery, with high quality and on-budget.

- Experience driving Drawing Model Based Product Definition initiatives
- CAD expertise with NX(Unigraphics), E3D with Piping /electrical modules
- PLM expertise with ENOVIA
- Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions
