Manager, Procurement Transformation
Role summary
In this newly created position in the Global Procurement and Payments organization, the Manager Procurement Transformation, will play a key role in the strategic development and expansion of Sun Life's procurement and payment functions This role will report to Director of Transformation, Global Procurement & Payment.
What you will do
- Partnering with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Vendor Master, and DBTS as required to build out strategic plans and roadmap and work on . Digital Transformation
- Rigorous use of technology to drive business process transformation and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex solutions, conducting GAP analysis, Blueprint Design, Configuration, Migrations and leading Change Management initiatives.
- Development of SAP Ariba system process design, Business Blueprint (BBP) & deployment approach and over-all system design
- Close collaboration with impacted stakeholder groups globally to understand current processes and develop appropriate change management plans
- Documentation of processes and operating procedures
- Serve as main point of contact with external consultants / implementation partners as necessary
- Data-driven decision-making using Sun Life tools (Tableau, etc.)
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of 7+ years experience with Source to Pay (S2P) processes and systems (preferably SAP Ariba, S/4HANA, and Concur) any tool implementation understanding
- Understanding from business side and usage of SAP Ariba
- Extensive exposure to Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement and AP (including Supplier Setup / Vendor Master Record Maintenance) processes required
- Strong technical competence and comfort with technical concepts
- Excellent organizational, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of and ability to document business processes
- Ability to break down complex scenarios to facilitate analysis and solutioning
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot as needed between them
- Willing to work flexible hours to support Sun Life organizations globally
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly understand - underlying technical architecture of Sun Life's systems
- Strong understanding of Sun Life's organizational structure and various SAP upstream and downstream systems (Frontier, WebSeries, etc.)
- BTech /MCA degree of competency with financial concepts (taxation, accruals, etc.); accounting designation preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Project experience (PM, BSA, etc.) an asset
