Global Procurement Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Measurement & Analytics division based in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
- To guide and outline Supplier Qualification process providing the framework and guidance for complete and consistent qualification of all suppliers, to aim for supplier sustainability is to improve supplier performance in the areas of: Social Responsibility, Ethical Business Practices and Environmental Impact.
- Executing upcoming supply issues like quality issues, late deliveries, non-conforming products or project services. For any issue with likely root cause supplier, prepare a claims case for the responsible buyer.
- Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
- Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
Qualifications For The Role
- B E or B Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.
- 4 to 6 years of experience from industrial companies or with focus on Supply base management and process improvements.
- SAP - ARIBA, ISO9001 knowledge, Audit Skills, FMEA control plans, 8D methodology.
- Knowledge of Procurement to Pay.
