Job Role:
This role plays a critical part in acquiring the IT resources needed to keep the bank functioning smoothly and securely. You'll be responsible for the entire procurement lifecycle for IT products, software, and services, ensuring best value for the bank while adhering to strict financial regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Exposed to entire gamut of IT related procurement activities like
- Tech Infra like Routers, switches, servers, IT consumables, Software and IT Professional service and will be reporting directly to the AVP Team Lead on all the strategic negotiations, data analytics and shall deal with Stakeholders/ Business Leaders within the organization at India level.
- Tech related procurement across the organization
- Work with procurement operations to team to ensure vendor & contract compliance
- Cost analysis and price benchmarking to ensure optimal value in Tech purchases.
- Report monthly metrics on sourcing & saving updates to local and regional management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, business units) to understand their IT requirements.
- Translate technical needs into clear and concise Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Research and identify qualified vendors based on technical expertise, pricing, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage the RFP process, including issuing documents, evaluating proposals, and shortlisting vendors.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions on pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and delivery timelines.
- Oversee the procurement process, including purchase orders, invoicing, and payments.
- Manage vendor relationships, fostering communication and ensuring adherence to contracts.
- Monitor and analyze IT procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize processes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends, banking regulations, and procurement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT procurement, ideally within the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and services.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
- Experience with e-procurement tools (desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
