Job Title - Procurement Lead
Location - West India
Reporting to - Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning- Develop & implement strategic plans for scrap procurement aligned with the company's objectives & market trends. Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities & reliability.
- Supplier Management- Build & maintain strong relationships with scrap suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to secure favourable agreements while ensuring quality standards are met. Monitor supplier performance & address any issues promptly.
- Sourcing & Acquisition- Identify opportunities to source scrap materials efficiently & cost- efficiently. Coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels. Explore new sources and innovative approaches to expand the supplier base.
- Process Improvement- Continuously evaluate and streamline scrap procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Implement best practices, automation tools, and performance metrics to monitor & improve process effectiveness.
- Collaboration- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, finance, and sustainability to align procurement activities with overall business objectives. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Proactively address business challenges, mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
- Conduct thorough market research, analysing competition & market scope to expand Gravita's market share.
- Cultivate new vendor relationships, particularly with OEM's, to procure scrap batteries, plastic, aluminium, and other materials.
- Ensure full sourcing of parts aligned with production schedules & customer demands.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports.

Experience - At least 10-15 years of experience in procurement & B2B Sales.
