Position: Procurement Lead
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3-5 years
Role Summary:
The Procurement Lead will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and management of materials, goods, and services for c&I (construction and interior esp office space interior procurement . This role demands expertise in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials. The ideal candidate should possess solid experience in procurement within the real estate or construction industry, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and project timelines while optimizing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services.
Vendor Sourcing and Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with suppliers and contractors. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Tendering and Contracts: Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs), bid evaluation, and final contract negotiations.
Material Management: Ensure the availability of high-quality construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project needs and specifications. Manage inventory levels and forecast future needs.
Budget Management: Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
Quality Control: Ensure that all materials and services procured meet the required quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, cost fluctuations, and vendor performance issues.
Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and site teams to ensure seamless procurement support throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Prepare regular reports on procurement performance and cost savings.
Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, seeking ways to improve procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement management systems (ERP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address procurement challenges.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in managing contracts, specifications, and budgets.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
