Play a crucial role in the procurement process of goods and services necessary for our operations.
The primary responsibilities will include:
Strategic Sourcing:
* Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
* Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Supplier Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products/services.
* Evaluate supplier performance, address any issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Continuously monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
* Inventory Management:
* Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
* Forecast demand, analyze usage patterns, and develop inventory strategies to meet operational needs while minimizing carrying costs.
Cost Control:
* Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
* Monitor and control procurement budgets to ensure adherence to financial targets.
* Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
* Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Bachelor Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent degree.
PGDBM, Masters in Engineering or Business Administration is preferable.
An MBA or a master's in supply chain management can be advantageous.
* Industry Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in procurement preferably in the Solar or manufacturing sector.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Solar related components, construction processes, and industry standards.
* Vendor Management: Experience in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring supply chain reliability.
* Cost Management: Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimize costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
* Project Management: Experience in handling large-scale procurement projects and coordinating with multiple departments.
Key Skills and Competencies
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and procurement data to make informed decisions.
* Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve procurement-related issues efficiently.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement
