Job description (high level summary):
Lead a Process Monitoring and Optimization Team within the GCC Supporting 2x LNG plants.
This role and Team forms part of a larger Process Engineering function
Activities are in support of our operating asset following the priorities of those assets
This role contributes to and executes process monitoring and optimizing activities at large complex process facilities in support of safe relaibale operations
Key responsibilities (day-to-day tasks, learning and development opportunities):
Provide a safe respectful work environment for your team
Support the development of your team members in their roles. Ensure your teams training is in line with business requirements
Understand the requirements and priorities of our operating facilities
Communicate work requirements and priorities to your teams. Monitor progress timelines and quality
Execute and Deliver workflows covering Reliability Engineering and FIRM processes
Execute workflows such as
- Build and maintain PI and Excel tools
- Define required process parameters
- Development of PMO tools such as PowerBI, Pi-vision dashboards and trends, etc.
- Process Modelling specialists
- Perform monitoring
- Specific Process Monitoring and Optimization parameters
- Interpret data and recommend change
Enable quality timely outputs in support of our operating facilities
Contribute to metrics showing performance of your teams against competitive performance measures
Execute Chevron's Performance Management Process of cross your team and monitor across you sub teams
Work within local budget spend in providing Process Monitoring and Optimisation services Eng services
Activities conducted daily, weekly, monthly across critical units and systems.
Monitoring Short and long term trends and conditions, proactively understanding the health of process and responding as appropriate. Team used to optimize current production and give early indication of long term issues.
Required qualifications:
Process Engineering Degree
Strong experience, technically competent and experienced LNG, chemical plant or refinery
Production / Process Engineers is essential
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Familiarity with relevant Chevron Engineering Standards and Australian Standards is essential
Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian codes and standards
Demonstrated creative thinking and can-do mindset are required to develop solutions that are fit for purpose meeting MFO
Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
