Process expert, Cylindrical Formation Li-ion Cell Gigafactory

Position Overview:

We are embarking on an exciting journey to establish a state-of-the-art first ever Li-ion Cell Gigafactory in India, and we are currently seeking a seasoned Li-ion battery Cylindrical Formation expert with specialized proficiency in Cylindrical Formation encapsulating various chemistries and cell designs to join our dynamic team.

As a Gigafactory launch expert with extensive Cylindrical Formation expertise at our Gigafactory, you will hold a pivotal role in launching and directing the optimisation of our manufacturing processes through your knowledge and previous experience with cutting edge Cylindrical Formation manufacturing processes and optimisation, as well as the design of our future phases as we continue to grow and develop our technology roadmap. You will direct and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including, Suppliers, Technical partners, Operations, Maintenance, Production and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the seamless operation of our existing pre-SOP Gigafactory and use your in-depth experience and industry knowledge to ensure we launch best in class processes, with a focus on world class Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance from SOP to maturity as well as future projects. You will have lean manufacturing accreditation and have demonstratable results, you will also drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

1. Become and Exide Energy Solution Safety Ambassador and continuously influence this culture daily.
2. Direct Single and Joint commissioning activities, supporting Suppliers, Tech partners, Electrode ME and PE team
3. Direct SAT activities and ensure a robust and quality buy off with reference to control plan and RFQ specifications.
4. Launch Cylindrical Formation SOP while fostering a development culture within the ME and PE team.
5. Ramp up and develop process maturity alignment between ME and PE
6. Achieve a world class yield rate from launch to maturity
7. Ensure faultless handover of ME equipment to PE
8. Collaborate extensively with R&D for current and future product scope and customer requirements
9. Lead continuous improvement activities across all current and future project scope.

Qualifications:

1. Possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field or relevant demonstratable experience.
2. Proven track record in developing Cylindrical Formation manufacturing processes Minimum of 8 years experience required across all form factors.
3. In-depth understanding of setting up and managing production processes, cutting-edge equipment, and evolving technologies.
4. Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards operational excellence, bringing out the best in each team member.
5. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, honed through practical experience in navigating complex manufacturing scenarios.
6. Adept knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
7. Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
8. Uncompromising attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
