JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Process Engineer

Reports To: Quality & ME Manager

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Location: Ahmedabad

Responsibilities

• Create and release process drawings & bill of materials.
• Working experience in below areas:CAD/CAM software (Creo, NX)
• Industrializing new products
• Process development and optimization
• Drive the New product development, Technical feasibility
• ETO Process/APQP
• Manufacturing process finalization
• Product & Process validation
• Packaging design and improvement
• Well versed with PFMEA
• Define and develop engineering requirement specification for bearing component & assembly.
• Drive the project related to Process Engineering Improvement
• Pure out put & Net out improvement project.
• Improvement for Process de-bottlenecking
• Tooling design, New product tooling design and development
• Tooling improvement Implementation of CAPEX Project
• Channel Layout
• Execution of capacity edition project i.e New machine, etc.

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

• Experience in conceptual design and development activities from end-to-end solution.
• Knowledge on form, fit & functions of a product.
• Understanding of process routings, and inspection plans.
• Knowledge on incorporating manufacturing process methodology in Creo, Drawing release process and ECM Process.
• Experience in application of measurement principles for manufacturing & other process.
• Proficiency in manufacturing & machining processes.

Desirable Skill

• Knowledge in product lines of SKF and their applications.
• Proficiency in Project Management & its value to the business processes.
• Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
• Knowledge of different six sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS, etc.) and tools.

Education & Experience
