Job Responsibilities :
Prepare annual procurement plan & budget for the category for all the projects
i. Consolidate one-time procurement budget across all businesses/function with support of respective P&C Contracts Leads and Project Cluster Procurement Leads
ii. Based on procurement plan prepare baseline budget for category
Continuously monitor actual procurement plan versus realization
Define category strategy
i. Develop category strategy including:
- Supplier portfolio
- Improvement levers
- Savings/value beyond cost
- Execution concept (delegation to the revenue / major projects procurement teams)
- Implementation plan
Align category strategy, execution and implementation plan with function/business and P&C stakeholders in Category Advisory Boards
Contract Templates
- Develop and Maintain Contract Templates for materials & services required by Project operations as well as detailed #Do#s and Don#ts for important clauses
Policies and Guiding Principles for commitments
- Establish, in close coordination with Planning & Strategy dept., all important policies for the Contracts in Reliance
Ensure the process of sourcing events, supplier identification, technical and commercial negotiation and supplier selection
- Complete following activities for the respective category of materials/ services:
- Supplier identification
- Supplier qualification assessment and short-listing
- Release of Request for Quotation/ Enquiry
- Receipt of offers from suppliers
- Preparation of comprehensive comparative statements
ii. Engage in major sourcing events and involve the Supply Market Segment Lead as an escalation partner in negotiations
iii. Develop methodology for engaging international lawyers and incorporating their recommendations
iv. Develop and sign-off sourcing & negotiation strategies for key spend areas in consultation with the Supply Market Segment Lead
- Obtain inputs of FC&A and Legal teams
Set-up of Agreements with the finalized suppliers
Performance/Close-out
- Demand Performance from Contractors/Suppliers and ensure proper smooth closure in consultation with the Project Contracts Manager
Manage suppliers within category
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and markets as dictated by business requirements
ii. Develop and manage relationships with key/ strategic suppliers
iii. Evaluate supplier performance & take initiative for improvement
iv. Delegate responsibilities to manage certain suppliers within #P&C organization#
Actively work with the supplier community to deliver innovation, cost reduction and service improvement
Individual development to perform the job better
- Identify and work to develop necessary capabilities

Education Requirement :
B. E. / B. Tech in Chemical / Polymer / Textile / Mechanical engineering + MBA
Experience Requirement :
15 to 20 years of relevant experience
