We're looking for a Principal Engineer - QA( Software Engineering - QA / SDET) to work on the NextGen connectivity platform across platforms. As a senior member of the software engineering division, you will lead a QA function within it. You will be responsible for definition and evolution of standard QA practices and procedures as well as the definition and development of software for tasks associated with the development, design and debugging of software applications.
What You'll Do
- Design, build and maintain extensible test automation framework.
- Develop and maintain test scripts based on that framework.
- Lead the QA Function for a product/products.
- Work closely with Infra/Dev. teams in defining tests efficiently.
- Set up processes to execute the tests regularly with automated reports , debug and fix any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively both within and outside the team.
What You'll Need
- 10+ yrs. Test automation experience and should be an expert in UI/REST automation frameworks: Experience in Selenium/REST Assured,.
- Educational Qualifications : Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engg or related fields.
- Experience in Nodejs / Python / Java is an added plus.
- Must have experience in architecting and building test automation framework, preferably for testing large-scale microservices solutions.
- Must have experience in extensive testing of Infrastructure/Compute resources for Load, Stress, Performance, Scalability and Reliability.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software test programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with development, build and deployment environment (e. g. Maven, Github, Jenkins).
- Good experience with API (REST) Test automation.
- Understanding or Exposure to DevOps and should have worked in CI/CD environments.
- A highly organized and self driven individual who is able to work independently & efficiently with minimal directions/supervision and is able to meet delivery schedules.
- The nature of duties is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others within the team.
