The vendor management will coordinate the purchases of maintenance services by evaluating suppliers for quality, pricing and delivery timeliness. The candidate will have experience in budget control, performance analysis and contract management.
Roles And Responsibilities
- The vendor manager serves as a point of escalation and ensures problem resolutions are achieved without compromising the relationship with vendors and company customers.
- Financial expense control and planning. Work with all GVM, product house staff, CFO, and Controller's staff to ensure expense is controlled and analyzed monthly. Manage plans and outlooks. Manage expense PO controls, expense by vendors, and rebate reductions.
- Candidate will be responsible for identify and developing process changes, corrections and improvements for the inventory process. The candidate will be expected to identify tasks to implement those process changes and assign them to employees in Slovakia.
- The candidate will be required to prioritize work and ad hoc requests for data analysis on a regular basis. The candidate will be required to analyze inventory activity and develop cost savings initiatives as a result of that activity.
- Candidate must develop a deep understanding of the GVM Inventory Process, Managed Services business processes as well as an understanding of the technical aspects of the inventory under management.
Key Competencies And Skills
- Candidate must have a sound understanding of the GVM Outsourcing and Managed Services business processes as well as experience in vendor management and purchasing of maintenance services and support.
- Knowledge of communication technologies and networking technologies. Knowledge of the Project Management best practices is advantageous. Ability to review and analyze large amounts of data and reach logical conclusions. Flexible, Analytical mind, Problem solver, Stress resistant, Team player.
- The Candidate must have experience in initiating and handing relationships with vendors and the company's operational department, to negotiate on behalf of the company for the best value of purchases that support its operations and business objectives.
- The candidate must have superior MS Office skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must have excellent project management skills.
- Fluent English language communication skills are required including proficient writing ability.
- PC literate with experience in a range of software packages. (MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Access)
