Principal Technical Architect

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal/Enterprise Architect with a strong background in Node.js, React, and web technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable web applications with a focus on SEO optimization. This role requires deep expertise in web development frameworks, architecture design, and a strategic understanding of how to enhance web performance and SEO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Leadership:

Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure web architectures using Node.js, React, and related web technologies.

Define and implement architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for web development across the organization.

Ensure the alignment of the architectural direction with the overall business strategy and goals.

2. Technical Strategy & Roadmap:

Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for web technologies, ensuring it aligns with product goals and market demands.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices that can improve the efficiency and quality of web development processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

3. SEO and Performance Optimization:

Design and implement SEO strategies and best practices at the architectural level to ensure high search engine visibility and ranking.

Work closely with the development teams to ensure that SEO-friendly practices are integrated into the development lifecycle.

Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness, ensuring a seamless user experience.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.

Mentor and guide development teams in architecture and design principles, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Act as a technical advisor and provide solutions to complex challenges that arise during development.

5. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:

Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and performance are met across all web projects.

Drive continuous improvement in processes and technologies, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Conduct regular code reviews, architecture reviews, and performance assessments.

6. Documentation & Communication:

Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, ensuring it is accessible and understandable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Effectively communicate architectural decisions and strategies to both technical teams and senior management.

Present technical concepts and solutions to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.

Qualifications:

Experience:

10+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in an architectural role.

Extensive experience in designing and implementing applications using Node.js, React, and other modern web technologies.

Proven experience in optimizing websites for SEO and web performance.

Technical Skills:

Deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.).

Strong knowledge of Node.js and its ecosystem, including Express.js, serverside rendering, and API development.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

Expertise in performance optimization techniques, including caching, lazy loading, and code splitting.

Familiarity with SEO tools and techniques, such as structured data, meta tags, and page speed optimization.

Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience leading technical teams.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of accessibility standards and practices.

Certification in architecture frameworks like TOGAF is a plus.
