  • The Mission of this Role:

The primary objective of this role is to drive the Automation deployment in SW end to end testing using XIL[HIL,SIL,MIL,PIL] test environments. As a lead responsible to drive the team towards the 100% automation goal using XIL solutions and automation framework.

Responsible to strategize, design, develop and deploy Automated test suites at product level, bring in re-useable/scalable concepts to deploy the automation across projects. Deploy project specific customizations (data / config) for flexible utilization. This involves alignment on product test strategy, product level bookshelf test specification, framework adaptation, standardized test scripts and leveraging the lessons learnt from other automation solutions like ProveTech.

Lead team in defining the product test/Validation strategy and deployment of the strategy. Drive the team to define bookshelf test specifications for features / functions of products (Display, Driver Information, BMS). Leads in Designing, developing, and deploying re-usable tests based on industry standards: ISO29119 and ISTQB Design and develop models / framework for script generation or configuration-based execution.

Continuously evolve automation test strategy based on lessons learnt from internal and industry forums. Drive initiatives towards develop the competencies towards Test design / Test development / Test Deployment and build strong system engineering expertise in validation team to uncover the defects early in development cycle. Work closely with Tools team, to help align test methods, infrastructure, framework on customization and overall development / deployment pipeline. Collaborate with Tools team in leveraging ASAM based ATX, XIL, XIL-MA and other related components - as part of tests and drive the framework in leverage of tests across HIL, MIL and SIL test environments.

2 As an automation leader, responsible to drive the team towards the common goal, by mentoring and coaching towards the desired competencies for the automation and DI/Display/BMS system engineering. Develop and deploy competency development strategy to build deep SW engineering expertise in the validation team. 25% Validation team self-sustained for automation deployment. 100% team members should perform automation tasks independently

3 As Technical leader, responsible to Identify and managing project quality/Schedule risks and priorities. Responsible to identify potential area of quality concerns and testing gaps, bring in solutions in collaboration with other stake holders and deploy the solution in time to achieve quality delivery to customer. 10% 100% Requirement coverage [In scope automation]

4 Collaboration with internal teams - Partners with PO, PL, SL and STL to communicate delivery of automation work product and ensures automation are used in the regular testing cycles. 10% Validation in time goal achievement

5 Periodic tracking of Strategic goals associated with 100% automation and reporting to Management on the progress of automation overall strategy. 10% Automation status reporting dash board

6 Drives sprint planning, team capacity planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, testing automation and management of automation defects. Trains, mentors / coaches scrum team members (to ensure testing teams are practicing agile principles). 5% 100% Agile Process adherence

  • Key Experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 15 to 20 years of software development/Testing/Integration/Automation experience, Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • C, C++ Fluency and debugging/Triaging expertise.
  • Autsoar , Adpartive Autosar and SDV exposure and understanding.
  • AUTOSPICE experience
  • ISTQB/Scrum Certified
  • Expertise in deploying automation on HIL, MIL and SIL test environments
  • Awareness about the STLC- Software Test Life Cycle for Embedded products
  • Python advance development experience. Experience with Robot framework and Provtech
  • Automation concept design and implementation
  • Scrum lead experience and people management experience [Team size >16]
