Your role and responsibilities
This is a technical role in Cloud and AI platform, reporting to the Digital Solution Engineering Man-ager in ABB Ability Genix - industrial analytics and artificial intelligence Platform in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be leading the Product delivery team including Platform Services at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. It is based in Bangalore, the silicon-valley of India. Its unique infrastructure places research, development, engineering, and service teams under one roof, increasing collaboration and reducing time to market, with no compromise on quality. The work model for the role is : This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Process Automation Digital division based in Bangalore Southfield, India Your responsibilities 1.Product Development:
- Provide technical leadership, set coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend systems using Node.js, .NET, .NET Core, and Python. Ensure the team follows best practices in coding, testing, and debugging.
- Oversee the front-end development process with React.js and ensure a seamless integration with backend services. Implement and enforce automated testing and continuous integration practices.
- Architect and optimize relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases for performance and scalability. Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline execution using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Provide guidance on cloud infrastructure setup and management (Azure, GCP, AWS, or Oracle) as required (Azure Preferred).
- Implement and enforce best practices for system administration, with knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments. 2.People Development:
- Mentor and guide team members, ensuring high-quality code and efficient problem-solving techniques.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and lead the adoption of new tools or practices that enhance team performance and system stability.
- Delegate tasks, set priorities, and ensure the team's productivity.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders.
- Provide regular sprint status updates and reports.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related tech-nical field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a technical leadership, working with software en-gineering teams.
- Backend Technologies: Expertise in Node.js, .NET, .NET Core, and Python.
- Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in React.js for building user interfaces.
- Database Systems: Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with at least one of the following: Azure, GCP, AWS, or Oracle (Azure Preferred).
- DevOps and CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions (Good to have).
- System Administration: Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration (Good to have).
- Security Frameworks: Familiarity with MCSR security practices (Good to have).
- Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with designing & developing scalable, microservices-based systems with asynchronous programming and design patterns
