- Research, resolve, and code application requirements as provided by project Business Analysts, Product Managers or Lead Software Engineers.
- Provide detail-oriented application solutions.
- Apply coding practices according to Hexagon EAM software engineering standards.
- Acquire and maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of Hexagon EAM application components as they apply to system creation and application design.
- Apply software engineering practices daily as required to achieve Software Engineering department goals and meet development schedules.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Frequent contact with software engineers, managers, business analysts and other individuals with input to application development. Contact with other departments such as QA, Documentation, and Project Management that handle applications after release.
- Maintenance and support for previously released versions of Hexagon EAM related applications.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years Python Reports development experience.
- 2-4 years of development experience on Cognos Reports.
- 2-4 years of experience in writing queries (SQL and PL/SQL) using Oracle and MS SQL Server.

- Must have hands on experience on Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager & Cognos Administration skills).
- Should have sound understanding on Relational Databases Should have experience in working on at least one RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience in writing triggers, stored procedures using Oracle and SQL server.

- Works independently with minimal guidance and direction.
- Strong knowledge on understanding and modifying the existing Cognos framework in queries with Prompts.
- Hands-on experience in building Cognos reports using parameters and expressions in reports.
- Should have experience in building different types of Cognos reports includes List, Table, Chart, Cross tab, Drill Down, Drill through, Master and Detail relationships.
- Should have knowledge on installing Cognos application and its latest features.
- Should have hands on experience in creating data model using Cognos framework manager, publishing, and deploying the packages into various environments.
- Interest and proven knowledge in new technologies.
