Job Summary:
As a Principal SDET specializing in mobile automation, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality of our Public Safety Suite for mobile (iOS and Android) platforms. With a focus on high performance, reliability, and scalability, you will lead the testing efforts to deliver an exceptional experience for end-users. Working closely with development, product, and other stakeholder teams, you will help create robust, scalable automation frameworks and execute rigorous testing to ensure the stability and reliability of our SaaS services on mobile devices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive test strategies, test plans, and schedules for mobile applications based on project requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for iOS and Android platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable mobile test automation frameworks and scripts that validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of our applications across mobile devices.
- Integrate mobile automation tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and feedback cycles.
- Establish and uphold best practices in mobile testing, including code reviews, test case creation, and defect management processes.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, perform complex root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Monitor test execution on real devices and simulators/emulators, analyze test results, and report quality metrics and readiness assessments to stakeholders.
- Lead debugging of test failures and help diagnose root causes, especially within multi-component, distributed systems.
- Foster a culture of quality, advocating for continuous improvement in mobile testing methodologies and processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members in best practices for mobile testing and software development.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in automation strategies and testing processes for mobile platforms.
