What You Will Do
We are seeking a skilled Principal Scientist, Analytical R&D-Lifecycle Management, within the R&D Operations group. This role will work as the Analytical representative on cross-functional teams supporting the life cycle management of Over the counter (OTC) self-care products. They will also represent and be accountable for technology transfer project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Analytical representative on cross-functional teams supporting the life cycle management of Over the counter (OTC) self-care products.
Represent and be accountable for technology transfer project deliverables such as method development, method validation, method transfer and stability.
Responsible for the periodic review and any required analytical activities to ensure currently marketed product specifications and methodologies are compliant to current (and upcoming) regulation requirements.
Engage with the Quality Control laboratories to identify, develop, and implement optimized testing strategies / methodologies to reduce testing cycle times for the release of products.
Possesses a broad base of knowledge related to testing methodologies and specifications that can be applied to work with the Regulatory, Legal and Toxicology teams for compliance with various requirements, such as compendia and ICH.
Seen as a strong technical leader and will lead/mentor other scientists within the team.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
Minimum MSc, B Pharm, M. Pharm, Ph.D. or equivalent science stream with minimum 10-12 years of work experience.
Applied experience with analytical techniques used in a broad range of testing is required.
Applied experience with UPLC, HPLC, UV, GC, and FTIR and other chemical analyses is preferred.
Analytical experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Familiarity with applicable GxPs is required.
Familiarity with regulations, ICH guidelines and compendia is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills as well as technical writing skills are required.
Ability to handle multiple, contending priorities and work with minimal direction to creatively accomplish technical tasks is required.
It is preferred that this candidate have strong technical writing skills with understanding of compliance both from quality and regulatory standpoint.
The ability to influence others without direct line authority is highly preferred.
Travel of up to 10% may be required
