- Responsibility for Linux based Systems design, administration, tuning and optimization, migration from other Linux distributions to Oracle Linux and integration in support of customer engagements.
- Working closely with clients and OS (Linux) project managers and team to clearly define scope of work and provide accurate schedule estimates.
- Acting as technical guide and mentor to other team members.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, best practices and methodology.
- Translating customer specifications into quality deliverables.
- 6-8 or more years of Linux systems and VM administration experience
- Technical expertise in Linux Operating systems and related internals.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for the big picture and capable of delving into details when required.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and have a flexible positive attitude.
- Must be an experienced, motivated, self-starter who is willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers remotely, using a combination of telephone, e-mail, and/or instant message, depending on the customer's preferences.
- Ability to work with customers in multiple time zones; may need to work a United States time zone one week and a European time zone the following week.
- Experience with Linux Server Administration
- Linux System Administrator Certification(s) including advanced features like clustering
- Experience with Networking and Storage Administration
- Experience with Scripting in Perl, PHP, BASH

Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
