PerkinElmer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead the development of Everest platform . This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire program, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timeline while managing a large team with software service provider in India. Through effective communication, collaboration, and risk mitigation strategies, this program manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of laboratory research.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire Everest platform development program, leading a team of approximately 200 personnel across multiple scrum teams with our software service provider in India.
- Oversee the overall program schedule, resource allocation, and delivery of all project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to define program scope, deliverables, resources, work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify key technical and functional requirements across all product groups in the US, Canada, and China.
- Develop and manage the overall program budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and accountability for achieving established business goals.
- Work with other program managers to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities across multiple PerkinElmer projects.
- Analyze, evaluate, and develop mitigation strategies for program risks, ensuring timely decision-making and program success.
- Generate comprehensive program reports to keep senior management and stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and changes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex software development projects.
- In-depth knowledge of program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and collaborating with offshore vendors.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile frameworks like Scrum.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage budgets effectively and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
- Experience in generating clear and concise program documentation and reports.

- Experience in the life sciences industry or a related field.
- Experience managing programs with a similar scope and complexity (200+ personnel).
