Specific accountabilities:
- Manage infrastructure components such as various platform components, containers and cloud operations
- The Platform Engineering role builds and maintains the platforms which form the base for the run of software solutions and services
- The Platform Engineers is highly involved in the shift from legacy and network-based environments to cloud based solutions and combines former Network Engineer, System Administration and Storage Administration roles
- Platform engineering teams aim to build tooling and automation that increases engineering productivity
