- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The impact you will have in this role:
As a member of the Infrastructure SWAT team, you will be involved in the troubleshooting and resolution of technical incidents, performance bottlenecks, and other significant infrastructure and application issues as they arise. You will serve as the primary point-of-contact for our Major Incident Management team during APAC business hours. In addition to supporting incident resolutions, you will work with the team to perform deep technical analysis that enhance the performance, stability and/or resiliency of new and existing business processes.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate effective troubleshooting and resolution of active infrastructure and application incidents.
- Serve as the first line of escalation for active incidents during the APAC business hours.
- Engage in Incident and Problem post-mortem reviews, providing appropriate feedback regarding challenges faced, opportunities for improvement, etc.
- Deep dive into application functionality by reviewing logs, monitoring tools, and other documentation.
- Collaborate across application and infrastructure teams to develop an understanding of an application's underlying dependencies, interconnectivities, and potential bottlenecks.
- Continuously improve troubleshooting methodologies and processes.
- Provide concise operational turnover between APAC and US staff.
- Represent the Infrastructure SWAT team in planning and architecture review sessions.
- Support Business Continuity planned and ad hoc activities such as Disaster Recovery exercises or Cyber-recovery events.
- Summarize and effectively communicate issues, impacts, and other related information to senior management as necessary.
- Mitigaterisk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
- Understands DTCC's products and service offerings, as well as key stakeholders, and demonstrates the ability to form and cultivate internal networks that will help navigate getting things done.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience inIT delivery and / or support
- Must possess strong critical thinking and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Succinctly communicate highly technical topics to peers, supervisors, clients, or regulators.
- Proficiency in Incident management and other ITIL processes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- 10 - 15 years of supporting and troubleshooting enterprise-scale computing environments.
- Knowledge and expertise in operating systems (Red hat, Windows, z/OS) , virtualization (VMWARE, OpenShift), CISCO networking, storage(EMC, NetApp)
- Ability to work across teams to create partnerships that achieve organization goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
- Knowledge and Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, ITSM
