Open Position: Principal Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations, development, and strategy of our insurance services.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of corporate governance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of insurance brokers and qualified personnel, fostering an environment of professional growth and excellence.
  • Represent the company in negotiations with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, risks, and opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement robust policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service and innovative solutions.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or equivalent from a recognized institution/university.
  • Master's in Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution/university.
  • OR any of the following professional qualifications:
  • Associate/Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management, Mumbai.
  • Postgraduate qualification from the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management, Hyderabad.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, Kolkata.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi.
  • Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India.
  • Associate/Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst of Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India.
  • Certified Associateship of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai.
  • Or any other qualification specified by the Authority from time to time.

Certification Requirements

  • Completion of fifty hours of theoretical and practical training from an institution recognized by the Authority, followed by passing an examination conducted by the National Insurance Academy, Pune or any other examining body recognized by the Authority.
  • For individuals with specific professional qualifications, the requirement is twenty-five hours of training, with the examination to be passed within one year from the end of the training period.

Skills and Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies, make decisions, and implement solutions effectively.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to mentor and develop talent within the organization.
