Here is an opportunity to be a part of the Exadata oracle database cloud services team which is fast paced team with expertise in software development. This team also ensures availability and reliability of leading Database Cloud Services including dedicated cloud and cloud at customer
In this role, you will work closely with DevOps, Support teams and internal / external customers to quickly investigate and mitigate critical incidents impacting service availability and reliability of cloud customers
Identify and deliver preventive measures, product improvements and automated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for common and frequent issues reported by many of our key / strategic customers with critical production databases. Work closely with various product development teams to drive product / service improvements in the areas of diagnostics and resiliency.
In this role, you will be working on the areas of troubleshooting, mitigating, fixing and development of automation using java / python/ perl of domain in DBA and/or DMA (Exadata) activities.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Related Field.
- 6 - 10 years of experience as a oracle database administrator / Software Developer within an Enterprise Product Development team.
- Experience and expertise in Database and Engineered Systems Cloud Platform Services [PaaS, SaaS, & Exadata as a Service].
- Hands-on Experience with Databases including Database Administration, DB internals, testing critical Security and Database fixes.
- Good automation knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python and Scripting such as Shell or Bash.
- Experience with Virtualization, Networking, and Platform Storage Architecture is highly desirable
- Experience in Exadata Machine administration that include Compute, Cell and switches patching, issue troubleshooting, incidents workaround.
