This role is to work as part of a team to support the delivery of projects. This role will be working under the supervision of a project manager to carry out the following functions.
Highly motivated individual who can work both as part of a team and individually and who will be able to take on and deliver the projects.
Responsibilities
This role is for Principal Architectural Lighting Designer (10-14 years). The principal accountabilities for the role include.
- Architectural lighting design, concept graphics and visual image presentations.
- Project drafting.
- Lighting fixture research and photometric calculation studies.
- Production of Environmental Lighting Impact Assessment reports.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with company and client quality requirements.
- Technical liaison with clients, specialized contractors, and stakeholders.
- Business Development including attendance at CPD events, exhibitions, and seminars.
- Desktop study including:
- To determine the existing infrastructure pre-design
- Lighting assessments for environmental impact
- Ensure clear understanding of project scope and deliverables to be produced. Ensure projects are completed on time and meet prescribed project deadlines as assigned.
- Provide regular work status updates, including project progress, risks, issues, concerns, or changes to the lead designer.
- Attend and contribute to team and project meetings as required. Contribute to team building and maintaining the positive team morale. Maintain focus and integrity towards the delivery of CRC's strategy.
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
- Work in coordination with all other design team members.
Key Competencies / Skills
Mandatory skills
- Computer skills including a working knowledge of proprietary lighting design programs such as Dialux Evo.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop).
- Technical report writing skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit & 3ds Max.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Experience in lighting design to the relevant British and EU Standards.
- Ability to seek clarity of instructions, check own work before submitting for approval, agree and meet timescales for items of work.
- Experience in coordinating with multi-offices and multi-discipline projects.
- Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
- Good English communication skills are essential.
- The home base for the candidate will be Bangalore.

Desired Skills
- Membership of the Institution of Lighting Professionals
- Previous project experience in any UK projects will also be preferred.
Qualifications
- At least BEng (Electrical Engineering /Lighting Design/Design related subject) or BArch with a minimum of 10-14 years of relevant experience.
