Job Description

Job Description - Principal

Hiring an experienced Principal to lead the school academics in line with the vision and mission of the organization, ensuring high levels of parent satisfaction and enable the centre to be profitable on sustainable basis. The ideal candidate needs to provide strong leadership to the staff members, parent community and be child centric in approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively carry out all Academic and Administrative duties
  • Ensure that all provisions of the Affiliation and Examination Byelaws and all directions given by CBSE from time to time are strictly complied with
  • Ensures the activities of the school are conducted in accordance with the rules laid down by the local authority, State Education Department and the respective Board of Examination (CBSE)
  • Effectively co-ordinate with the Central office for policies or any updates
  • Ensure the information called for by the education department/ Central office is shared with them within timelines
  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all student's academic performance and student discipline
  • Effectively ensure that the teaching staff is optimally engaged at all points in time
  • Supervise classroom teaching and effectively guide hand-hold and motivate teachers to give their best as per the Orchids curriculum philosophy
  • Effectively conduct, manage, supervise various events like parent orientation, PTM, sports day, coffee meets, student events & competition
  • Oversee the execution of the Curricular and Extra Curricular Programme as per guidelines
  • Effectively manage parent teacher association and respective committees and ensure parent delight during all parent interfaces with the school management
  • Maintain effective communication with students, staff and parents and effectively handle parent concerns
  • Effectively control attrition by facilitating a conducive work environment for the school staff
  • Ensure teaching and non-teaching staff are taken through induction program at regular intervals.

Required Candidate Profile:

Minimum B.Ed Experience: 5 years of work experience in academics plus minimum 5 years of recent work experience as a Principal

Expected Competencies:

  • Good analytical skills ability to make recommendations based on information gathered and sound judgment
  • Sound Technical skills to manage they dynamic online learning platforms
  • Ability to drive consensus in decision making, especially in conflicting situations
  • Extrovert, result oriented, mentor and leader focused on outcomes and ability to stand up to committed deliverables
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation skills
