Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure and Virtual Appliance Management:Collaborate on the deployment, management, and automation of virtual appliances and network components across multiple regions, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and EC2.
- Work with multi-region architectures to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of deployed resources.
- Automation Engineering and Deployment Pipelines:Develop, enhance, and maintain automation checks for the ORR platform, focusing on performance, security, and reliability across Azure and AWS environments.
- Build and manage deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, CloudFormation, and Terraform to streamline virtual appliance and application deployments.
- Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness planning and Network readiness automation, with an emphasis on platform integrity and response efficiency.
- Code Review and Mentorship:Conduct code reviews, providing guidance and feedback to foster best practices and elevate coding standards within the team.
- Mentor and guide engineers in Python and automation coding techniques to build team-wide proficiency.
- AI and Data-Driven Solutions:Design and implement AI and data-driven solutions to advance automation capabilities, including generative AI for dynamic automation tasks and insights.
- Operational Readiness (ORR):Ensure platform operational readiness by implementing automation checks for patching, monitoring, logging, and security configuration adherence across cloud infrastructures.
Required Skills:
- Programming Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Python, with a focus on high-performance, maintainable code.
- Cloud Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and Azure platforms, with knowledge of managing virtual appliances and network infrastructure across multi-region environments.
- Infrastructure & Automation Engineering:Strong background in infrastructure automation and deployment management, including tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
- Operational Readiness (ORR):Expertise in cloud platform operational readiness, specifically in monitoring, security, logging, and patching.
- Disaster Recovery & Network Automation:Experience in DR readiness and network automation, with a focus on maintaining platform integrity and optimizing response efficiency.
- Mentorship and Code Review:Proven ability to mentor team members and elevate coding standards, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- AI and Data Integration:Background in AI and data-driven automation, with knowledge in developing generative AI solutions for dynamic automation tasks.
Optional Skills:
- Data Engineering and Analytics: Experience with data analysis and engineering for automation insights or AI model development.
- Jira Experience: Familiarity with Jira for task tracking and project management.
- Instructor or Trainer Experience: Proven ability to educate and mentor team members on complex technical topics.
Requirements & Notes
Focus on Python/AWS&Azure/AI. No location restrictions, needs to overlap 5-6 hours EST.
