Position Responsibilities
- Help design, implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, specifically on AWS
- Build and configure Linux servers, automate tasks, and monitor systems for performance and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and test new features and services
- Write and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a Linux systems administration or DevOps role
- Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services
- Good understanding of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
- Good understanding of automation and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Understanding of networking concepts and best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring and log management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Additional qualifications that would be a plus for this role:
- Strong programming skills
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as code tools, like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestrations tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with maintaining web-based applications, especially on the LAMP stack
- Good familiarity with the Debian family of Linux distributions, specifically Ubuntu
