This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. The addition of this new, non-billable position based in India within Oracle's Health and AI Database Services Team is a significant step forward in improving our healthcare services in the dynamic multi-tenant cloud environment.

To support the vision, we are building a platform that manages end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate; and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer. We are looking for passionate Site Reliability Engineers who possess Oracle Database Deep End-to-end Troubleshooting skills, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, Data Management (SQL Performance management, Partitioning, Compression), Exadata expertise, Oracle GoldenGate expertise, and high-scale Database issue analysis skillsets, along with expertise in any of these skills: DevOps, PLSQL, and Python.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts.
- Experience in building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
- Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, focusing on shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.
- 2+ years of experience and working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, PLSQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting.
- 2+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of Golden Gate replication.
- 2+ years of experience in development in PLSQL.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations).
- Understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Shepherd and Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD Platforms and components such as Jenkins.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible and Chef.
- Knowledge of version control using Git.
- Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata.
- Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus.
- Building and managing Linux OS systems with a good understanding of how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and the ability to read and understand source code.

Oracle's Health and AI Database Services Team is actively seeking a reliable Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in our Database Infrastructure team. This position is based in India and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of healthcare services within a dynamic multi-tenant cloud environment. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineering, you will be instrumental in achieving our mission to enhance healthcare services. Your key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
- Lead efforts to migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a seamless transition for optimal performance.
- Implement advanced strategies like partitioning and advanced compression to enhance overall database efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.
- Apply your skill set and hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud and Data Management.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to solve complex Infrastructure and DevOps challenges.
- Contribute to making our infrastructure simple, secure, reliable, and easy to operate.
- Define and develop monitoring infrastructure criteria (SLIs, SLOs).
- Solve complex and difficult problems and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Participate in incident management, operational/security maintenance, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Drives and actively participates in the resolution of complex technical issues.
- Drive Projects to improve the availability, scalability, security, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.
- Contribute to the growth of the team by mentoring new associates, facilitating knowledge transfer and team development
