Samsung R&D Institute India-Bangalore (SRI-B) is the largest R&D Center outside of South Korea and a key innovation hub in the Samsung group.
SRI-B Ad Platform & Big Data Analytics team is working on a several key initiatives building next generation customer engagement and device experience platforms with a vision to be the global leader in deploying and scaling impactful AI based services, enabling engines of high-value and relevance to our customers.
The team in Bangalore consists of Product Managers, Data scientists, Data engineers, Data Analysts Large scale backend engineers, Application Developers, Full-stack engineers, Service Reliability Engineers, and MLOps engineers.
What will you do
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
What are the Required Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Masters or Doctorate or other Advanced Degree in Math, Statistics, Computer science or related domain from globally reputed Universities.
- Be good with Math basics: calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Minimum 18 years of relevant experience working with large data sets to find business opportunities any of the following domains: Customer understanding, market penetration, product optimization, customer satisfaction, and process optimization
- Minimum 5 years of building a center of excellence improving the practice of Data Analysis and Machine Learning
- Have deep experience on a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, time series analysis, clustering, decision trees, boosting, text mining, deep neural networks, etc.
- Have good experience with modern data science libraries, productionizing models and related practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: Python, SQL etc.
- Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders
- Experience in classification and tagging using Deep Neural Network Architectures such as RNN, CNN, LSTM, GRU, Auto Encoders etc.
- Experience in NL classical parsing techniques
- Experience in designing & building NLP conversational systems
- Proficiency in neural network libraries such as Caffe, TensorFlow, Theano, Torch, etc is a plus
- Experience working with and creating data architectures.
- At least 5 Publications in Relevant Fields in Top Tier Journals / Transactions / International Conferences
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: Python, SQL etc.
- Experience using web services.
- Experience with distributed data/computing tools (Spark, etc.)
- At least 3 patents, filed in USA or Multiple Countries.
