Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate English language lessons for IGCSE primary school students.
- Teach fundamental language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
- Plan, prepare, and organize lesson materials and resources in alignment with curriculum guidelines and educational objectives.
- Assess student learning through regular formative and summative evaluations, and maintain accurate records of their progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, active participation, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and staff members to design interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate English language skills with other subjects.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and promote parental involvement in their child's learning.
- Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, educational trends, and resources related to primary English instruction.
- Participate in professional development activities, faculty meetings, and school events as required.
- Qualifications:
- BA / MA in English required.
- Proven experience in teaching English to primary school students.
- Strong knowledge of primary English curriculum frameworks, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
- Passion for teaching and ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students effectively.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- High level of organization and attention to detail in lesson planning, record-keeping, and assessment.
- Current knowledge of educational trends and best practices in primary education.
