The Progress Transformation Office is responsible for Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support and Customer Success operations across the Progress portfolio of products. We partner closely with Sales Operations and Professional Services to ensure success across direct and channel teams focused on optimizing the tools and systems that support the development and delivery of Progress products and services through direct and partner sales organizations. We operate in multiple locations in the US, Europe, and India.
The Progress Product Portfolio consists of a wide range of products and solutions and includes our Digital Experience, Infrastructure Platform, Application & Data Platforms Business Units. Our products provide the tools to support digital experience solutions, technology integration, secure data transfer, data architecture solutions, development tools and network monitoring and management. We offer on-premises and Cloud based solutions to large enterprises, software ISVs and OEMs. Together, these solutions deliver over $500M in annual revenue.
We are seeking a confident, energetic, and organized person with a proven record of successfully supporting global product, sales and Information Technology teams to support product pricing and packaging operations across Progress.The Global Product Pricing & Packaging Analyst will work with Product Management, Enterprise Applications, Marketing, Partner Operations, and Sales Operations teams within Progress to configure and manage Product Pricing & Packaging data in the product master, product price lists and supporting systems. We are looking for someone who can clearly analyze business needs and effectively communicate business needs to technical teams and collaborate withstakeholders and partners globally to create, maintain and evolve the global pricing and packaging master data, price lists,and configure related offerings in technology systems and tools including excel, Salesforce and other systems.
In This Role, You Will
- Analyze and document pricing & packaging system configuration, and data requirements for price lists, quoting,and fulfillment of all Progress products
- Responsible for the accuracy of product information in a broad spectrum on business systems including but not limited to Salesforce, Admin, QAD EE and Flexera and the management of product configuration across ADP, INFRA, and DX Business units
- Responsible for creating and updating product master SKU records, price list generation, and product configuration across multiple technology stacks supporting Product, Sales, SalesOps, PartnerOps, and other teams at Progress to support product pricing & packaging strategy and operations.
- Gather and Translate business systems requirements to Enterprise Application Teams systems teams to support new pricing & packaging constructs in related enterprise applications systems.
- Support the Global pricelists and work with stakeholders in product, sales operations, and partner operations to deliver new pricing and product information to internal sales teams and channel partners as updates are made and launched.
- Contributes to projects and manages product configuration in related systems to support quoting, ordering, and fulfillment operations of all Progress products including licenses, subscriptions, support, professional services, and training.
- Attends quarterly pricing & packaging strategic planning session with product management and Product Delivery Solution Train Engineers to develop clear roadmap for pricing updates.
- Participate as Price List and Product Master subject matter expert on Pricing & Packaging Committees, reviewing proposed pricing updates and providing guidance and guardrails to ensure pricing requests align with existing systems that support product configuration, quoting, and delivery capabilities.
Your Responsibilities
The Global Product & Pricing Analyst is the overall owner of Product information the Product Master in Progress. The Global Product & Pricing Analyst will:
- Gather pricing and packaging requirements for multiple products from Product Management and related stakeholders
- Maintain the master price files across all product lines and identify and implement opportunities to automate related processes to improve pricing & packaging operations across progress.
- Configure of Products for quoting & fulfillment (Subscription Terms, Renewal SKU's, Related Products) and deactivate product as required to support end-of-life in Salesforce, Flexera, or other internal systems.
- Responsible for the Maintenance and accuracy of all product information architecture attributes/metadata in the Product Master and related systems that consume master data.
- Create, maintain, and distribute pricelists to partner operations and sales operations teams for distribution.
- Coordinate pricing configuration and updates with business and technical teams responsible for related systems including licensing, finance, ecommerce, websites, and others.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous experience working in an Inside Sales and/or Sales Operations environment, ideally within a SaaS/ networking/software company
- College/University degree, preferably in business, data or related field
- Experience managing & analyzing large data sets
- Experience working within a fast-paced, globally distributed team
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently and as part of a team in an entrepreneurial environment
- SFDC knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in MS Excel
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience participating in distributed global teams across multiple departments/functions and teams working in multiple time zones
Travel/Physical Demands
- This position may require up to 10% travel within and outside the region
