Press Release Writer-Part-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Press Release Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling press releases that effectively communicate our company's news, updates, and achievements to the media and the public. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of language, exceptional writing abilities, and a keen understanding of PR strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Write clear, concise, and engaging press releases tailored to different media outlets.
- Research and gather necessary information from various internal sources to create accurate and informative press materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand key messaging and ensure consistency in brand voice.
- Edit and proofread press releases to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company guidelines.
- Distribute press releases to targeted media contacts and maintain media lists.
- Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings for reporting purposes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, news, and competitor activities to identify potential PR opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Press Release Writer or similar role, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AP style and other journalistic standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
