The Presales Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the federal sales team by providing technical expertise, solution design, and compelling demonstrations for cloud solutions, cybersecurity solutions, AI/ML solutions, and/or data solutions. This role collaborates with the sales team, technical experts, and proposal writers to develop solutions that address federal agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery: Conduct in-depth needs assessments with potential clients to understand their pain points, technical requirements, and desired outcomes.
Solution Design: Develop and tailor technical solutions that align with client needs, leveraging cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and data capabilities. Create architecture diagrams and solution overviews.
RFP Support: Collaborate with the proposal team to provide technical input, and solution descriptions, and ensure accurate representation of capabilities in responses to RFPs/RFQs.
Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to the federal cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and data sectors.
Qualifications
Technical Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Cloud Expertise: Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and an understanding of cloud architectures, migration strategies, and cloud security.
Cybersecurity Understanding: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat vectors, and compliance standards relevant to the federal space (e.g., FISMA, NIST 800-53).
AI/ML and Data Familiarity: Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, use cases, and data analytics relevant to federal needs.
Prior Experience: 3-5 years of experience in presales, technical consulting, and/or solution design, preferably with exposure to the federal market.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailoring technical concepts for a government audience.
Primary Skills
Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC).
Certifications in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or data analytics
Strong Technology Acumen, Translate calls with SME into Solutions
