POST: PRECAST DESIGN ENGINEER
Based in Hyderabad, India, Precast Design Engineer carries the responsibility of performing the design calculations and detailing accordance with applicable standards and contract requirements. Candidate should have experience in:
- the design and detailing of parking structure, multi-story buildings, and data centers;
- the design of precast insulated wall panels, double tees, inverted tee beams, L-shape and rectangular spandrels, solid wall panels, precast stairs, and precast columns;
- the development of erections plans and shop tickets.
KEY SKILLS NEEDED:
- Perform the engineering analysis & design of various project elements using software's, spreadsheets or hand calculations.
- Perform member design, connection design, handling and transportation, detailing, etc.
- Coordinating design with architectural and other engineering disciplines (MEP, Civil e.tc.,)
- May support other designers on large projects and involved in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clearly communicate project information and needs with other staff and clients in meetings, presentations, & written documents.
- Need to provide services like shop drawings & submittal review, peer reviews and project report generation, etc.
- Ability to learn new international codes and standards.
- Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Demonstrates desire to improve skills, problem solving and share knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferable.
10 to 15yrs experience in Precast concrete field.
Proficient at reading contract documents as well as shop drawings and details.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and industry standards, preferably AISC codes.
Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
