- As a Pre-Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social development of young children in their formative years
- Working with children typically aged 3 to 5 years old, you will create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where each child can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace
- Through age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and positive reinforcement, you will lay the foundation for future academic success and lifelong learning
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote holistic growth and development in young children, including cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical domains
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey
- Facilitate learning through play-based activities, storytelling, songs, art, and hands-on experiences that cater to children's diverse interests, learning styles, and abilities
- Foster language development and literacy skills by engaging children in conversations, reading aloud, storytelling, and providing opportunities for imaginative expression and creative writing
- Introduce basic numeracy concepts through games, manipulatives, and playful activities that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking
- Promote social skills and emotional intelligence by modeling positive behavior, teaching conflict resolution strategies, and encouraging cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation
- Assess and monitor children's progress and development through observation, anecdotal records, and informal assessments, identifying areas of strength and areas for growth
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support children's learning and development, sharing insights, providing feedback, and offering resources and guidance as needed
- Establish effective communication channels with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress, milestones, and classroom activities, and addressing any concerns or questions promptly
- Stay updated on best practices, research findings, and trends in early childhood education, participating in professional development opportunities and networking with fellow educators
